He first met the owners in the water back in 2017-a shared surf session, good energy, and the kind of vibe that naturally brought him here. What started in the lineup grew into his role he has today. Known for his kindness and constant smile, Oscar is lovingly nicknamed "Miel" - honey-for good reason. His energy is calm, positive, and easy to be around. Charismatic, warm, and naturally humorous, he brings lightness into everyday moments. When he's not working, you'll usually find him relaxing in a hammock or heading out to fish. Oscar lives right on the property, so chances are you'll also meet his dogs, Mac and Roxy, who are very much part of daily life at Coco Loco. A loving father to his daughter and great with kids, Oscar carries a sense of care and presence into everything he does. Always welcoming and grounded, he brings an ease and warmth that makes this place feel like home.

He started as a volunteer and grew into a key role as one of the managers of Cocoloco. He has a rare gift: people naturally come to him when something feels off. Whether it's a bad surf session, a tough day, or a personal worry, Ezi listens, grounds you, and somehow help you reset. He wanted to become an English teacher because he loves helping people learn- and that same patience and love to share his knowledge shows in everything he does here. Outside of Coco Loco, Ezi is a fisherman, a farmer, and a father of three. His life is deeply rooted in this place, its rhythms, and its people. With his deep knowledge of the waves, the land, and the community, he shares not just surf skills, but a big wisdom about the waves, the land, and the life that surrounds us, that stays with you long after you leave.

Over the years, he has cooked for many different people - from our international guests to high-profile figures, including the Nicaraguan president and members of his government, the Prince of Denmark, and international fishing tournament leaders. In the kitchen, Álbaro is deeply focused. When he's cooking, it's best not to interrupt him- his attention is fully on the food. Once the plates are ready, though, he'll greet you with a warm smile. For him, cooking is a craft that deserves respect, patience, and care. Álbaro believes good food should be fresh, simple, and homemade whenever possible. He prefers local ingredients, fruit from the property, and products that reflect the region rather than trends. Outside the kitchen, he's a passionate baseball player and trains the local baseball team. He lives nearby with his family, close to the baseball field, and his daughter also works at Coco Loco as part four service team. He joined Coco Loco through a friend who knew his values and love for honest food- and those values are still felt in every meal he prepares.

You'll usually meet Jocelyn with a big smile. She's polite, warm, and genuinely open - someone who enjoys learning new skills and growing with every new task. Her calm and caring presence makes both guests and children feel comfortable and at ease. Whether she's helping behind the bar, supporting the kitchen, or spending time with the kids, Jocelyn brings a gentle energy that adds to the everyday rhythm of Coco Loco. We are very thankful to have her as part of our Cocoloco family.

If you're lucky, you may catch her singing in her beautiful voice, almost unnoticed. Naturally kind and soft-spoken, she can seem shy at first, but as she opens up, her open heart and genuine warmth shine through. Her presence adds a feeling of ease and sincerity that guests remember long after breakfast. Hazel was raised in this area and still lives in our community today. She has been part of our team for seven years and is an important part of our family.

Smart, loving, and open-hearted, she is often the person people turn to for honest relationship advice - always thoughtful, always grounded. Highly disciplined and organized, Adela approaches her work with focus and care. Raised here, she brings deep local insight and a real connection to the community. Beyond the kitchen, she also creates many of the handmade details at Coco Loco, including cloth napkins, curtains, and pool sheets. Her contribution is felt throughout the resort, in both the visible and the quietly essential details.

Calm and steady, Orlando moves through the resort with a quiet smile and an unmistakable sense of ease. Known as one of the best drivers and a true all-rounder, he takes care of everything on the property- and if something breaks, he can fix it. For this reason, he is lovingly known as the "ambulance": whether it's a broken car, a leaking sink, or any unexpected issue, Orlando is always there to make things work again.

Smart and always smiling, she brings a positive energy no matter how challenging the day may be. We have known her for many years-long before she joined the team-from the kids' club more than twelve years ago. Open and eager to learn, Maykelin is always ready to take on new tasks. Highly active and motivated, she moves easily between cooking, cleaning, and whatever else is needed, embracing every challenge with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility. We're honored to be part of her journey & she's part of ours.

She is known for the fact, that she says what she thinks without fear, which we truly value. An all-or-nothing person, she approaches her work with full commitment. A small personal random fact: despite her confidence in many areas, her biggest fear is lighting the oven. Born and raised in the community, she knows this place by heart.

Flor has a big heart and a natural generosity- always ready to share whatever she has. Her husband is also part of the Coco Loco team, making their connection to this place even deeper. Her dedication and warmth are felt every day, often quietly, but always consistently.

She is currently in her first year of university and manages to balance her studies with her responsibilities at the resort. Energetic and open to new experiences, Jennifer is always ready to help when needed and enjoys being part of different activities. Though she may seem shy at first, she speaks some English and brings a positive, motivated spirit to the team.

Behind the bar, Sahori stands out for her natural sense of style and confidence, mixing great cocktails with ease-including the best Chunky Monkey you can get. With her lovely curly hair and big smile, she creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Fun fact: Sahori's name was inspired by the Japanese series Knights of the Zodiac. Sahori is also closely connected to Coco Loco beyond the bar: her father is part of the team as well, working as our head chef, making this place feel even more like family.

She prepares every dish with love and passion — you can taste the care in everything she makes. As the sister-in-law of our chef, she is deeply connected to the heart of our kitchen. Elisabeth is clear and straightforward in her communication, which we truly value. Her strength, honesty, and protective nature earned her the nickname La Reina — the Queen. And in many ways, she truly is the guardian of our kitchen.

Roxy loves being cuddled and she can be quite demanding if you stop too soon. She also has a special habit: she loves coconuts and is often seen proudly carrying one around the property. Mac enjoys cuddles too, though a little more selectively. He is the more athletic of the two, always ready to sprint down the beach or chase after horses with impressive speed. Together, Mac and Roxy add warmth, movement, and a sense of home to everyday life at Coco Loco.
